Political Science Assistant Professor Brad Johnson spoke at a leading industry conference on Oct. 19. The Ignite conference hosted by NeoGov, a human resources solution that hosts over 5,000 state and local government agencies, brought together over 1,500 government human resources professionals. Several hundred participants learned about intentional technology implementation from Dr. Johnson. Specifically, he discussed the new and hidden expectations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it differs from the automated processes government agencies have adopted over the last forty years. Professor Johnson is developing a partnership with the company to explore patterns in public personnel processes.
