Technology developed by Computer Science and Engineering Professor Ali Tavakkoli and his team to screen astronauts for an eye condition called Space Flight Associated Neuro-ocular Syndrome (SANS) will be tested on the International Space Station over the next three years. The project is funded through a NASA grant awarded to the Nevada System of Higher Education. This work aligns with a key pillar in the College of Engineering: unmanned vehicles and the new space frontier.
