The Office of Undergraduate Fellowships is thrilled to announce that Mimi Payne has been awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP).
Payne is a doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program of Hydrologic Sciences. Her research focuses on the relationships between fire, soil and water. Previously, she secured a grant through the Forest Health Research Program (FHRP) with CAL FIRE, where she worked at the Desert Research Institute with Christine Albano.
As part of her NSF GRFP application process, Payne worked extensively with the Office of Undergraduate (& Graduate) Fellowships.
