Ryan Imsdahl named USTA Northern California 'Leader of the Year'

Ryan Imsdahl, president of the Nevada Tennis On Campus Club at the University of Nevada, Reno, is the USTA Northern California “Leader of the Year,” an award recognizing a current student leader who significantly strengthens a Tennis On Campus program.

In a division with 13 schools, including perennial powers the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, and the University of California, Davis, Imsdahl has elevated Nevada’s profile through approximately 100 percent membership growth in two years, creation of the inaugural Wolf Pack Invitational welcoming teams from Oregon, Colorado and Northern California, and securing partnerships that provide members with high quality equipment and apparel access.

Under his leadership, the club will have attended nine out-of-state tournaments in two years, including competition at the United States Tennis Association National Campus in Orlando, Florida. Imsdahl has prioritized welcoming new players, strategic planning, strong compliance and enhanced funding and visibility in collaboration with Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS).
