Environmental Engineering Associate Professor David Hanigan has been selected by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) for its 40 Under 40 Recognition Program. The award will be conferred April 11.

The 40 Under 40 Program recognizes talented individuals who, either personally or as part of a team, have helped advance the fields of environmental engineering or environmental science in a demonstrable way within the last 12 months. Professor Hanigan's lab focuses on environmental organic and inorganic chemistry and process-based water treatment.
