University of Nevada, Reno's College of Education & Human Development Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies Sarah Mitchell, Ph.D., has been honored by the University of Missouri MU College of Education & Human Development’s Early Career Alumni Achievement Award.

Professor Mitchell is a three-time graduate of the University of Missouri, and this award recognizes her as an alumna who is making a significant impact early in her professional career.

The College of Education & Human Development at the University of Missouri celebrated Mitchell, among other distinguished alumni, during its Celebration of Excellence: 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony. They also recognized her in a profile article, "Leadership in family science."
