Donnie Andrews, personnel analyst for Human Resources, was named the June Employee of the Month by the Staff Employees Council.

Andrews, according to nominator Denise Madole, personnel analyst for Human Resources, is one of the most reliable and helpful people in the division.

"Donnie works mostly with faculty employee types, but if I or anyone else has an issue we can't work through with a different employee type, Donnie is always willing to help or provide information," Madole wrote in her nomination letter. "She is our resident form I-9 expert so if anyone has a problem on an I-9 issue, Donnie is there to help the entire campus."

Madole added: "Donnie does a very good job leading her team, keeping communication open to not only our office but the campus as well. She gives announcements at the network meetings each month of important issues and updates going on with HR processing."

Recently, Madole said, Andrews has "come up with a simple way to bring the whole building together. It was a simple exercise of drawing a bird and posting it on one of our walls to share with everyone. This only took a few minutes of everyone's time, but brought a smile to everyone's face and brought all functions together as a great team-building exercise for the day."

For her part, Andrews said, "What I like about the University is the atmosphere and the personnel. I work with some amazing people both in my office (HR) and on campus. I couldn't ask for a better work environment!"
