The 11th annual Ron Petersen Memorial African Dinner, a fundraiser for international water efforts by students at the University, will be held on March 8.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the California Building at Idlewild Park. It includes African cuisine, entertainment, silent auction and raffle, cash bar, and Student Association for International Water Issues (SAIWI) trip presentations.

Tickets are $40 for general admission, and $25 for students.

The event, which is put on by SAIWI and International Development Missions, is sponsored by Rotary International, the University of Nevada, Reno, ASUN, the Desert Research Institute and the Graduate Student Association.

Funds raised will be used for water and sanitation projects in Kenya and the Navajo Nation.
