Beyond the scope of the University and College of Liberal Arts departments contributing to the medieval and renaissance studies program, a number of other organizations also are dedicated to medieval studies.

• The Medieval Academy of America is a national organization that supports research and teaching of the Middle Ages.
• The Renaissance Society of America engages scholars of the same time-period and supports anyone interested in studying renaissance.
• The Nevada Early Modern Organization is a University club that organizes play readings, film screenings and other activities.
