Intentionality: Form and Shape

Dive deep into the meaning and sources that influence your artwork. Create objects like vases, teapots, and platters that reflect personal history and intentional meaning. Demonstrations will include throwing, extruding, and slab construction techniques.

About the artist

Doug Casebeer

Doug Casebeer lives and works in Noble, Oklahoma. After 35 years at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center and 6 years as the resident artist for the University of Oklahoma, he is now a full-time studio artist. Doug has taught, exhibited, and built kilns worldwide. He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and has been honored by NCECA, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and the Huntington Museum of Art with the Walter Gropius Master Craftsmen award. Doug has contributed significantly to the ceramics field through ongoing projects and workshops in Chile and Jamaica, and he has worked in numerous countries including Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Japan, and Brazil.
