Nevada First in the Pack Program

Nevada First in the Pack is a program designed to help first-generation college students succeed in obtaining a college degree. First-generation students are students in families where neither parent has graduated from a 4-year college or university.

The increase of First generation college students applying and being accepted into four year institutions is at an all-time high, but the graduation rate for students of this demographic is stagnant at 26 percent. First in the Pack has a track record of shifting these outcomes by helping retain first-generation students, raising their GPAs and supporting their professional development.
