Jeremy Tiedt currently holds the title of Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Student Success within The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno. Jeremy has been with the College of Business since the summer of 2015. Throughout his time at the University of Nevada, Reno, Jeremy has taken on a few additional roles an adjunct instructor (BUS, ENT and MGT courses), and has also served as the Academic Coordinator for The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders since 2019.

Jeremy has been working in higher education in a variety of roles since 2010. His first role was an Academic Advisor in the Athletic Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 20102011. From there, he moved onto a new role at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County as an Academic Advisor and Tutor Coordinator for the university’s Athletic Department from 20112012. He then moved back to his home city of Milwaukee to work at Cardinal Stritch University as a Career Counselor and Academic Advisor from 20122015 before accepting his current role.

Jeremy typically teaches entrepreneurship-based courses and always enjoys meeting with students to discuss potential business ideas or ways to scale their current businesses. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time outdoors with his two young daughters, Ella and Zoey, and wife, Samantha.  

Advice for all students: 

  1. Stop by and see your advisor once a semester, haha!
  2. Take advantage of all the amazing resources UNR has to offer and make sure you get your money’s worth of your tuition dollars. Whatever interests you may have, I promise there is someone on campus that can help you explore those interests and passions. You just have to ask for help.
