EMBA, MSBA and Information Systems Instructor

Summary

I received my Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a Dual-Master’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Education at the University of Nevada, Reno with an emphasis on technology. While earning my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees I worked in the tech industry full-time for ten years (2004-2014) in many roles with a primary focus and specialties in project management and data analytics. During my time in the tech industry I learned a lot about the industry and experienced a lot of change in my personal life by way of earning two degree’s and having two beautiful daughters with my wife. In 2014, I adjusted my focus from the tech industry to local efforts and decided to work for children in our K-12 public school system in Reno, NV as a Data Analytics Coordinator. This role is incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to play a role aimed at improving our public school system district-wide by helping teachers and principals better teach and support our children through the use of data analytics and data-decision making. During my time with the school district, I began teaching Information Systems in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno (2015-Present Day) and that has ignited a passion in me for teaching and led me to pursue a Ph.D. so I can stay connected to students and the field for the foreseeable future.
