Summary
I have been the Graduate Programs Coordinator for the College of Business since February 2022. I received my bachelor’s degree from UNR in December 2019 in International Business/Marketing with a minor in Spanish. I achieved my MBA in December 2022. I have always been connected to the College of Business in some way, and that is in large part due to the massive influence the College has had on my career and personal goals—even when I thought I couldn’t continue due to chronic health issues. I was involved with Business Student Council as an undergraduate and took advantage of the New York City global business trip during my MBA program. I am also a graduate of the Reno + Sparks Chamber Leadership Class of 2022. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, so the University is really my second home—Go Pack!
What I love so much about working with graduate students is their grit, determination, resilience, and motivation to learn. Every day, I am inspired by the students that come through my office and everything they do to earn an advanced degree while also juggling family, social, and work-life balance. When these students set their mind to something, they go after it. It is a privilege to watch their success unfold firsthand. My best piece of advice is to get comfortable with being uncomfortable and consider every opportunity that comes your way. Your path may be different from what you imagined, and that is okay.
