Courses focus on International Business, Management, Leadership and Humanities through a combination of online instruction, lectures, tours and more! Singapore, Australia, Argentina, Toronto, New York, London, Costa Rica, and Poland are your potential destinations!

Singapore:Nevada Global Business at the United Nations

  • Learn about Asia-Pacific trade in the context of one of the most diverse and culturally rich countries in the world. Several business visits with companies with Nevada ties are planned.
  • Fees include class credit, shared accommodations, local transportation, select tours, course materials, breakfast, and special class dinner

Sydney, Australia:

Sydney Opera House

  • Online Instruction: January 21, 2018 - March 13, 2019
  • Visit Australia: March 17, 2019 - March 24, 2019
  • Cost: $3,295
  • 3 credits - BUS 400 (undergrad), BADM 791 or BADM 729 (graduate)
  • Learn about business innovation and entrepreneurship through the context of business visits in eco tourism, biomedical research, Australia's wine industry and several small group conversations with Australian CEOs. This class is part of a consortium with several other universities including Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa. 
  • Fees include class credit, shared accommodations near the beach, local transportation, class field trips, cultural workshop in Blue Mountains National Park, and breakfast every morning

Australia Entrepreneurship Exploration:

  • Online Instruction: June 1, 2019 - June 29, 2019
  • Visit Australia: June 29, 2019 - July 11, 2019
  • Cost: $3,800
  • 3 credits - ENT 401 (undergraduate) or ENT 601 (graduate)
  • Learn entrepreneurship by doing it with Australia students from University of Newcastle. Obtain entrepreneurial insight from Australian entrepreneurs and scholars.
  • Engage in business visits at Bondi Chai, https://www.bondichai.com.au/, Ignite Alliance, https://www.ignitealliance.com.au/, CoastXP, https://www.coastxp.com/, Crave, https://www.getcrave.co/, eBay and many others.
  • Fees include class credit, shared accommodations, inside Australia transportation, fees for snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef and for visiting Daintree Rainforest, and some special meals.

  • Learn about business innovation, finance and entrepreneurship through the context of business visits in banking, manufacturing and retail business sectors. Argentine business leaders and American leaders working overseas will be the focal points of contact for students in the program.
  • Fees include class credit, shared accommodations, local transportation, class field trips, cultural workshops, breakfast and a final class dinner/excursion

  • Management course, focusing on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and challenges and opportunities of doing business in Canada.

New York, U.S.:

  • Cost: $2,595 for double occupancy, $3,395 for single
  • 3 credits - MGT 491(undergraduate) or BADM 729 (graduate)
  • Management science and humanities come together through exploration of museums, plays, films, galleries, readings and lectures. Design thinking concepts are discussed, challenged, and deconstructed.
  • Fees include class credits, accommodations, course materials and five class meals

  • 6 credits (classes vary)
  • Two well-rounded courses on Global Management, Technology and Economic Policy, in one of the most fascinating cities in the world.
  • Classes meet daily from 8:30-10:30am and 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Afternoons devoted to cultural visits, class projects, and field trips
  • Fees include class credits, accommodations, course materials, and daily breakfast and dinner in the dining commons

  • Learn about trade and commerce in the European Union, while exploring all that London has to offer.

San Jose, Costa Rica:Costa Rica

  • Online Instruction: Sunday, July 7, 2019 - Saturday, July 27, 2019
  • Visit Costa Rica: Sunday, July 28, 2019 - Sunday, August 4, 2019
  • Cost: $3,295
  • 3 credits - BUS 400 (undergrad), BADM 729 or BADM 791 (graduate)
  • Learn about Central American trade and how developing countries develop vibrant business communities as well as attract foreign direct investment. Special focus is given to diplomacy and Costa Rica's tradition of not supporting a standing army. Substantial time is spent in San Jose meeting with local and foreign business interests, government agencies charged with FDI, and several different foreign embassies. The course closes with a focus on sustainability practices in eco-tourism at a resort on the Pacific coast.

Warsaw/Krakow, Poland:Poland

  • Learn about Polish business culture, traditions and leading companies in exploration of the major economic centers of Warsaw and Krakow. Through a combination of business visits, cultural engagement and visits to major landmarks such as Wieliczka Salt Mine and the Memorial at Auschwitz, students will develop a remarkable sense of the blending of culture and business skills that make Poland a vibrant place for business growth.

Students may choose to extend their stay at their own expense.
