Patricia Richard is Assistant Vice President for Constituent Relations. Her primary responsibilities are two- fold. She is responsible for a leadership role in connecting the president and university to major constituents inside and outside the university, and she serves as executive director of Integrated Marketing which is the primary marketing department of the University. She collaborates with the Student Services, the Office of Media Relations, and the academic leaders to develop a consistent message throughout the university which reflects both the state of the university and its aspirations. She teams with the president to ensure regular contact with prospective investors in the university and works with him and the vice president for development to layout appropriate strategies for these investors. She serves as a confidential advisor to the president and oversees his activities and priorities. She works with others to prepare the president for speeches and other public functions and messaging opportunities. She is responsible for ensuring that the President's office functions effectively. She holds a bachelor's degree in Music and a master's in Speech Communication. She has been at the University of Nevada, Reno since 1996 and has served as Assistant Alumni Director and University Events Director during that time.
