The Nevada Bioinformatics Center is a core facility providing bioinformatics research resources, services and training in support of existing research programs and in the development of new programs and grant applications to Nevada scientists, institutional collaborators and industry clients.

The Nevada Bioinformatics Center at the University of Nevada, Reno was established in 2001 with funding from Nevada INBRE and NSF EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) to meet the growing bioinformatic needs of Nevada researchers. The center performs data analysis, administers computer equipment and software, provides bioinformatics IT support and bioinformatics programming support, and offers training and workshops on the methods and tools of analysis.
