Nevada Center for Bioinformatics
The Nevada Center for Bioinformatics provides bioinformatics research resources, services and training to Nevada scientists in the support of existing research programs and in the development of new programs and grant applications.
The Bioinformatics Center also supports the Nevada INBRE Genomics and Proteomics Centers by providing data analysis and consultation on both DNA and protein-based projects including analysis of microarray data. The Nevada Bioinformatics Center also provides systems administration support, data storage, and file transfer capabilities for Nevada INBRE-affiliated units.
What we do
Services are offered through consultation and direct research collaborations. The Center promotes its services through formal and informal user training sessions. Ask us a question or inquire about our bioinformatics services.
Areas of research emphasis include:
- Next-generation sequencing
- Genome-wide association studies
- High-performance computing
Submit a query or question. For bioinformatics and biostatistics services, we ask for at least two weeks to honor any requests. Please remember to plan accordingly.
The University of Nevada School of Medicine hosts the Nevada INBRE which is funded by grants from the National Center for Research Resources (5P20RR016464-11) and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (8 P20 GM103440-11) from the National Institutes of Health.
