Introducing Women in STEM

Women in STEM is a high school outreach program at the University of Nevada, Reno that aims to enhance access to science, technology, engineering and math career pathways for young women through academic advising, mentorship and engagement opportunities at the University. Applications for the 2024-2025 program year will be accepted beginning June 1, 2024. The application will remain open until all spots in the program are filled.

Women in STEM is a high school outreach program at the University of Nevada, Reno that is funded through the U.S. Department of Education. The program aims to enhance access to science, technology, engineering and math career pathways for all Nevada high school juniors and seniors, particularly girls and young women who have experienced barriers in accessing STEM education and research experiences. Participants receive academic advising, mentorship and engagement opportunities at the University, with a focus on STEM.
