Dean of Students

Job Description: The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an innovative, inclusive, and student success focused professional to lead the Dean of Students office. This is an internal recruitment and only available to current University of Nevada, Reno employees. The Dean is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of all Student Services initiatives to promote student success, retention, community development, and inclusivity on the campus. The Dean teams with other campus services and programs to increase student success, retention, and persistence within an increasing diverse student body. The incumbent directly supervises the Office of Student Conduct and Alcohol and other Drug Services, Fraternity and Sorority Life, New Student Initiatives (New Student Orientation), Student Persistence Research, and the Career Studio. The incumbent is a key participant in the Student Services Crisis Intervention team, coordinates interventions and assistance to students, and chairs the University's Student Intervention Team. The Dean advises individual students on resources and referrals available for addressing their concerns. The Dean assists in providing leadership to Student Services and Student Life colleagues.

Facility Attendant

Job Description: The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Facility Attendant for the Residential Life, Housing, and Food Services department. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The incumbent will perform building rounds, monitor access points and lobbies for suspicious activity, enforce safety/security policies as outlined by the RLHFS Standards of Conduct, and document and notify appropriate staff regarding the potential risk of harm or damage to the building/residents (e.g. fires, facility issues, etc.). Facility Attendants also provide desk services including lockout assistance, package handling, and related work as required.

Accounting Assistant 2

Department: Residential Life, Housing and Food Services

Job Description: This is an internal search. The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant 2 for the Residential Life, Housing and Food Services department. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The incumbent will maintain and monitor departmental budget accounts, purchasing cards, and dining services accounts. This position will also be responsible for account reconciliation, processing commission checks and back-up cashiering. During heavy volume times, this position will assist with questions regarding housing and meal plans and provide administrative backup.

Accounting Assistant 3

Job DescriptionThis is an internal search. The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant 3 for the Residential Life, Housing and Food Services department. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The incumbent will audit student accounts, prepare invoices for billing residents on their student accounts, verify accuracy and confirm proper documentation, process deferred payment agreements, delinquencies, and eviction notices. This position also serves as the department's primary cashier and back-up cashier for conferences, vending, and other revenue. Clerical duties will include: answering departmental inquiries, providing support as back-up receptionist, serving as departmental resource for student accounting information, and other duties as assigned.

Coordinator, Residential Education

Job DescriptionThis is an internal search. Residential Life, Housing, and Food Services at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a dedicated and innovative professional to join our Residential Education team. The Coordinator for Residential Education serves an important role in the coordination and implementation of academic initiatives and student staff development in the department. The Coordinator serves as the supervisor for the academic mentor student staff and advises multiple committees in the residential education area. The position is involved in the coordination and implementation of numerous academic initiatives including academic intervention, recognition, and living learning and theme communities. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing a comprehensive recruitment, selection, and training program for residential life student staff. The position will maintain full-time office hours to include evening/weekend hours for programs and training, and may be asked to travel for student and staff recruitment events and activities. Summer duties include assisting with planning for the academic year, coordinating training, and assisting with summer orientation and other summer academic programs.
