Executive Director

Department: Residential Life, Housing and Food Service

Job Description: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student life Services, the Executive Director of Residential Life, Housing and Food Services (ED) is responsible for total operation of a comprehensive department, including all fiscal, physical, and developmental aspects of on campus residential living. Overseeing the Food Service program in excess of $14 million and the Housekeeping/Maintenance contract of over $1.6 million is included in these responsibilities, as well as the relationship and management of privatized housing for grad students, faculty and staff. The ED also oversees aspects of marketing, assessment, student accounts, human resources, payroll, accounts payable and receivables, summer conferences and recruitment for the department.

The position is responsible for effective and efficient development of 30 residential and food service operating budgets totaling nearly $40 million plus an additional $3_ million in budgeted accounts to insure self-supporting status and to maintain responsiveness to the needs of the university community. The ED oversees the physical environment of each of the nine (9) on-campus residential complexes, totaling over 1 million square feet and valued at approximately $400 million, to insure they are well maintained, clean, and secure, with both short and long term planning parameters. The ED is charged with building reserve funds to address changes in key planning assumptions and unanticipated repair, in addition to allowing for planned replacement of facilities and their contents.

Coordinator, Fraternity and Sorority Life

Department: Dean of Students - Fraternity and Sorority Life

Job Description: The Coordinator, Fraternity & Sorority Life (F&SL) is a key part of the Office Fraternity & Sorority Life and the Office of the Dean of Students. The Coordinator works closely with the Manager, F&SL and the Dean of Students to advise fraternities and sororities on becoming national models of values-based recruitment, leadership development, community service, academic performance, and cultural competency skills. The Coordinator plans, designs, and evaluates the area of F&SL in support of departmental goals and objectives; interacts on police investigations; and in responds to media inquiries and emergencies involving fraternity and sorority student involvement. The ideal candidate advises councils recognized by the university, including Honoraries. Assistant Director, New Student Initiatives

Job Description: The Assistant Director, New Student Initiatives helps develop and administer the summer orientation program and also year-round welcome, transition and retention programs for new students and their families. The ideal candidate is involved in hiring, training, and supervising more than 30 student employees. The Assistant Director assumes responsibility for many of the big-picture logistics of orientation, requiring ongoing coordination with campus partners and vendors. Data Analyst

The positions support the Financial Aid Office by insuring data integrity in the PeopleSoft Student System for all financial aid function that result in the timely and efficient direct financial aid services to students. The Data Analyst conducts all functional system testing, manages the student self-service application, troubleshoots functional problems, creates and runs quality control reports and other system queries for data extraction. 

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing overall backup support for the PeopleSoft Financial Aid module. The Senior Analyst works to increase productivity through operational efficiency and system effectiveness, independently, independently assesses complex issues and implements functionality of the Financial Aid Module. The Senior Data Analyst has wide latitude of decision making in the design, development and implementation of methodologies that ensure quality control and data integrity. They will develop, implement, manage, report and ensure compliance on continual internal audit and testing of all Title IV process outcomes. They will maintain expertise and up-to-date knowledge in all areas of financial aid to ensure department can plan react positively to constantly changing Federal, State and institutional postures concerning student financial assistance.

Coordinator, Support Operations

Job Description: The Coordinator of Support Operations, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Support Operations and with input from management staff, coordinates applications and housing assignments within Residential Life, Housing and Food Services. This is the primary position for coordinating the housing application process, including ensuring the housing management system is properly configured to accept applications for all terms, according to submission and close dates. The position coordinates changes to roommate matching questions, Living Learning Community updates, assignment accommodations for students with disabilities, Return Student Housing process, room changes, including addressing student and parent concerns with regards to assignments. The Coordinator will also respond to roommate requests, changes prior to move in, work with Residential Life staff on changes after opening, temporary housing and fee assessments. In addition, this position coordinates the department internal and external communication for application and assignments process; conducts presentations at orientation, participates in University recruitment events, communicates and corresponds directly and indirectly with students and parents and participates at department faculty and staff training sessions and retreats. This individual works directly with the overall year-round administration of the University residential system and summer and conference housing. The Coordinator conducts regular audits and assists with various department operations including communication with department staff.
