Job Description:  The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 4 for the Joe Crowley Student Union (JCSU). This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. Reporting to the Associate Director, Retail and Finance Operations, the position manages daily fiscal activities, human resource activities and provides event and retail contract support to ensure processes are completed timely and in compliance with financial regulations and human resource policies and procedures. This position plays an important role in supporting the overall business operations and services of the Administration, Event Management, Programming, Marketing, Information Technology and Audio Visual units within the JCSU. The incumbent works with the operational leader for each unit to ensure the alignment of operational and financial activities. The incumbent serves as subject matter expert related to Workday. The incumbent supervises classified and student staff. This position provides executive assistance for the Director and Associate Directors of the JCSU. Associate Vice President, Student Life Services

Job Description: The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Associate Vice President for Student Life Services to lead Division and Institutional initiatives around student success for an increasingly diverse student body. The Associate Vice President, Student Life Services is one of two associate vice presidents and three senior administrators leading the Division of Student Services. This position has primary responsibility for creating an inclusive and vibrant campus life for a growing and increasingly diverse student body. The Associate Vice President for Student Life leads retention and graduation efforts through the integration of curricular and co-curricular experiences beginning with freshmen year initiatives through indigenous culture graduate celebrations. By promoting innovations in programming and policy, the Associate Vice President leads institutional efforts to attract, retain and graduate students in four years, especially those from underrepresented populations. Opportunities to do so include 8 residence halls and several dining facilities throughout campus, a 10-year old student union, a new fitness facility, fraternity & sorority life, separate centers for student engagement and cultural diversity, undergraduate student government and leadership development and a career studio with a robust internship program. In addition, this position is responsible for programs and services that anticipate and support students in need such as mental health counseling, the dean of students, student conduct, substance abuse prevention and new student orientation. The office of student persistence research for the division is also a part of student life to ensure impact and effectiveness. 

The incumbent is responsible for human resources, facility, fiscal, and administrative management of the Student Life unit, which includes approximately 67 administrative faculty, 42 classified staff, 12 graduate assistants, 2 post-doctoral scholars and 725 student employees. The total budget for Student Life is $64,795,115. Approximately $63 million in auxiliary and student fee funds and $1.5 million in state funds. The Associate Vice president for Student Life provides leadership, oversight, direction and support to all personnel within the following units: Center for Student Engagement (including the Associated Students of the University of Nevada student government, Pack Provisions and campus escort services, ASUN Wolf Shop, the Office of Student Persistence Research, Dean of Students (including Student Conduct, Alcohol Prevention Services, Greek Life, Career Studio and New Student Initiatives), Joe Crowley Student Union, E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center, The Center, Every Student, Every Story, Residential Life, Housing and Food Services; and Counseling Services. 

This position works with the Deans of Students office and others on campus in handling emergencies. The Associate Vice President serves as the President's designee to review recommendations of student conduct board hearings, and issue the final disposition of the case. In addition, The Associate Vice President for Student Life Services serves as the President's designee to review requests for approval of alcohol at events held on campus. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Services.

No other applications will be accepted. The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 in the Office of Student Conduct. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. The Assistant Dean, Student Conduct will supervise the Administrative Assistant 3. The incumbent will provide support to the Assistant Dean by performing the following tasks: managing the calendar, providing administrative support, scheduling meetings, assessing the importance and urgency of student and faculty issues as assigned by the Assistant Dean. The position serves as the first point of contact for all visitors to the Office of Student Conduct. excellent customer service, written communication, and verbal skills communication skills are required in order to be successful in this position. Cooperating and collaboration with other campus and community stakeholders will be customary. The incumbent will need to prioritize tasks while maintaining oversight of the fast-paced daily activities in the Office of Student Conduct. This position will also create and maintain documents, records, and files related to student cases which are all protected by FERPA and which contain confidential information. Duties also include; record keeping and reporting associated with grants, department accounts, and other program information related to the Office of Student Conduct. The incumbent will be required to be conscientious of and adhere to deadlines and Federal reporting mandates. Coordinator, Fitness

Job Description: The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator, Fitness. The Coordinator, Fitness is directly responsible for the administration and development of fitness programming and assisting with facility management within Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS). This includes program planning, personnel management, staff development and evaluation. The position recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates fitness program instructors and academic course instructors and student staff. The Coordinator assists the FRS professional staff with student worker trainings, facility supervision, and with the staffing of special fitness events. The position develops and implements program assessment tools for all Fitness Programs and group training programs. The position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of group fitness equipment and facilities. The Coordinator reports to the Director of FRS and works closely with the other professional coordinators.

Coordinator, Student Publications and Marketing

Job Description: The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator, Student Publications and Marketing. The Coordinator for Student Publications and Marketing is a key part of the Associated Students of University of Nevada (ASUN) Center for Student Engagement (CSE). The position is responsible for advising the recognized student media outlets on operations, responsible journalism, and civic literacy including government accountability and the First Amendment. Currently this includes a newspaper, literary journal, photo-journalism magazine and radio station. They coordinate the Student Media Board comprised of students, faculty and community members. The position supervises the marketing department responsible for creation and implementation of all promotion efforts. This includes graphic design, video production, social media and public relations. The position monitors and supervises the contractual obligations, sales of advertising and collection of revenue in the student media.
