Psychological Services

The clinical services provided primarily reflect the specialty areas of the faculty members of the clinical psychology program at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Currently, the Psychological Services Center offers services for:

  • A large range of emotional problems of adults (e.g., depression, anxiety)
  • Sexual abuse victims (children and adults)
  • Victims of domestic violence
  • Interpersonal difficulties

Because of the training nature of the clinic, the following services are not provided:

  • Crisis intervention or walk-in services
  • Emergency services
  • Treatment for suicidal clients or clients with active substance or alcohol use disorders, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
  • Psychiatric treatment/medication
  • Court-ordered services, custody evaluations or similar services

Emergencies

The Psychological Services Center is not equipped to offer treatment to individuals who need immediate emergency intervention.
