Environmental Engineering Professor Yu Yang and his former student Srinidhi Lokesh, along with Myron L. Lard and Robert L. Cook, published their paper “Critical Role of Semiquinones in Reductive Dehalogenation,” in the Sept. 26, 2023, edition of Environmental Science & Technology. The paper investigates the role of quinones, hydroquinones and semiquinones in the reductive dehalogenation of triclosan, a model organohalogen.
