The Nevada Public Health Training Center housed within the School of Community Health Sciences recently released a Health in All Policies 101 course. Health in All Policies is a collaborative approach that integrates health considerations across sectors to improve the health of communities. The Health in All Policies 101 training focuses on the social determinants of health, community- level strategies to achieve health equity, intersectoral collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. This course is available for public health professionals, professionals from non-traditional sectors, policy makers, and students.
The Health in All Policies 101 course is free and available asynchronously at Making Health Happen.
" In times like these, the importance of working together with the shared goal of advancing health equity can’t be be understated. This training seeks to make it possible for more community organizations, especially those that are outside of the public health sector, to create, mobilize, and carry out their own action plan that will directly impact the health of their community." - Sara Hanafi, Public Health Diversity Advisor
