A shooting took place at approximately 4 p.m. this afternoon west of the University of Nevada, Reno's campus off College and Terrace Streets (west of the Wolf Den). There is no threat to campus. Classes, campus events and operations are not affected. A large area has been cordoned off for investigation and the area is congested due to the investigation and responding agencies.

Reno Police Department is investigating. No faculty, staff or students were involved.
