In recognition of a proclamation issued by the City of Reno proclaiming "Wolf Pack Fridays," University President Marc Johnson is encouraging the campus to wear blue for all Fridays that remain in 2013.

"This is a great way for our faculty, staff and students to show their support for the Wolf Pack, and their pride in our University," Johnson said. "We're hearing more and more about the idea of making Reno a true 'college town' - where the community and its university blend together for the benefit of everyone. By wearing blue on Fridays, our campus community can show how strongly we believe in our University's mission, and our value to our community."

In the spring, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell proclaimed all remaining Fridays in 2013 as "Wolf Pack Fridays." In the proclamation, Cashell encouraged all citizens and employees of the City of Reno to support the efforts of the University.  To accomplish this, Cashell urged all of northern Nevada to wear their blue University clothing on Fridays.
