Biography

Dr. Vincent Lombardi received his Ph.D. in 2007 in Biochemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, at UNR. Prior to prior to this, he served as the Director of Research of the Nevada Center for Biomedical Research and as a supervisor in their CLIA-licensed clinical laboratory. Dr. Lombardi has extensive experience in clinical immunology and infectious disease.

The current focus of the Lombardi laboratory is understanding the underpinnings of the gut-brain axis in Alzheimer's disease and myalgic encephalomyelitis with a sub-focus of the contributions of mucosal immunity to this process.
