Borrowing artwork
Faculty and staff interested in borrowing artwork can view available pieces by accessing our collection. Availability may vary depending on exhibition and loan schedules.
Once a selection has been made, you may schedule an appointment to view the artwork(s) in person with museum preparator, Justin Manfredi (jmanfred@unr.edu) After finalizing your selection, a signed Borrowing Guidelines document is required. Once the signed document is received, arrangements will be made to install the artwork(s).

How much does it cost?
An annual fee of $75 per-object will be charged to the departmental account provided by the borrower. Borrowers may wish to pay for this service out-of-pocket, however, all financial transactions be processed through a departmental account. If you would like assistance in selecting artworks for your particular environment, curatorial advice and recommendations can be provided for a one-time $100 curatorial fee.

Where can artwork go?
To ensure the safety of our artworks, The Lilley requires that loan locations be attended when open and locked when not occupied. Security arrangements will be made for public locations. Art cannot be hung near heating or air conditioning units, or in direct sunlight. If there are questions about the space, our Preparator can determine if site conditions are acceptable upon delivery of the piece. The John and Geraldine Lilley Museum staff reserve the right to deny a Borrower’s request if locations are not deemed safe for installation. Artworks are not allowed to leave campus.
