The Lilley Museum of Art uses the power of art to enhance the cultural life of our diverse communities and sees art as a tool for creativity, connection, and learning. The Museum envisions a community with art at its center, and strives to be a remarkable and invaluable space on campus, a leader in the museum field, and an excellent cultural institution that serves students and the community at the University of Nevada, Reno, and beyond.

Our galleries

Main exhibition space

The Lilley Museum of Art's main exhibition space is located in the University Foundation Arts Building and hosts collection exhibitions and temporary shows.

Front Door Gallery

Located in the entrance to the Church Fine Arts complex, Front Door Gallery is often visitors' first entry point to the University's home for visual art, dance, theatre and music programs.

Investment Gallery

As an ambassador space for The Lilley, located in the Fitzgerald Student Services Building, the Investment Gallery is home to rotating, long-term exhibitions. It extends the mission by reaching diverse viewers from across campus.

Internship opportunities

The Lilley Museum of Art is proud to offer an unpaid three-credit undergraduate internship. This internship is available for any undergraduate student majoring in any discipline at any college or university during the spring semester.

Art Loan Program

Select artwork from the John and Geraldine Lilley Museum of Art permanent collection is available for short- and long-term loans to administration, faculty and staff offices on the University campus through The Lilley Art Loan Program.
