Summary
Lily Sommerfeldt is a multidisciplinary artist based in Reno, NV. She holds a BFA with an emphasis in photography from the University of Nevada, Reno. During 2026, Sommerfeldt served as a multimedia exhibition coordinator for the Lilley Museum of Art and Department of Art, Art History and Design. During this time, she completed over 70 professional photographs set to be published in the Lilley Museum of Art’s Collection Catalog, served as a program photographer and graphic designer for the Low-Residency MFA Interdisciplinary Arts Program at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe, and developed an organizational archive system for Department of Art, Art History and Design programming materials.
Finding joy in new creative challenges, Sommerfeldt pushes herself to take on other commissions. Documenting pop-up artwork installations in the desert, running social media accounts, taking headshots, fixing photo printers and framing artwork are just a few examples. She has exhibited locally at the University of Nevada, Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, Sierra Arts Foundation, Holland Project, and, most recently, in Road Work Ahead, a pop-up U-Haul exhibition that brought art to a rural Nevada community.
