In celebration of its Fifteenth Anniversary Season, Apex Concerts presents an evening dedicated to the joy and power of chamber music, featuring works by three giants of the genre: Haydn, Schumann, and Mendelssohn. The Hall Recital Hall will host a star-studded lineup including international soloists Benjamin Beilman and Maria Ioudenitch, former Emerson Quartet violist Lawrence Dutton, the Viano Quartet (2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipients), and founding Artistic Directors Dmitri Atapine and Hyeyeon Park. The program begins with Haydn's String Quartet Op. 50 no. 6, a tribute to the 'father' of chamber music, followed by Schumann’s groundbreaking Piano Quintet. The evening culminates with Mendelssohn’s Octet, premiered 200 years ago and renowned as an unsurpassed example of “chamber music at its highest.”
