Civil and environmental engineering Associate Professor David Hanigan was inducted into the University of Missouri Civil and Environmental Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni at a Sept. 11 ceremony. Hanigan joined the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016 as an assistant professor and was promoted to associate professor in 2022. His lab focuses on environmental organic and inorganic chemistry and process-based water treatment, and he is affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Water Innovation Institute and the Tahoe Institute for Global Sustainability.
