David Calvert recognized as a 2024 NPPA Honors Award recipient

May 12, 2025

Reynolds School of Journalism instructor David Calvert has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association with the NPPA Special Citation in 2024. This award recognizes individuals or organizations for their significant contributions that advance the interests of visual journalism and the NPPA.

Calvert will be recognized during an awards ceremony in Alexandria, Virginia, on May 17, 2025, along with other recipients of the 2024 NPPA Honors Awards at the 2025 Northern Short Course, Best of Photojournalism and NPPA Honors Awards.

Calvert has been deeply involved with the NPPA newsletter for three years, collecting, editing and managing the content with news photographer editor Sue Morrow.
