Early results are in for the University of Nevada, Reno’s Giving Day: The Wolf Pack Way. Held April 9, the fourth annual fundraising event raised more than $1.1 million from more than 1,900 donors, with gifts still being counted.
This outpouring of community support will fuel scholarships, power student competitions and events, expand access to campus programs and support a wide range of priorities across the University.
Giving Day featured several challenges that inspired broad Wolf Pack participation, unlocking additional funding from the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation:
- Top Colleges & Schools Challenge: For receiving gifts from the greatest number of individual donors, the Honors College took home the top prize ($5,000), followed by a tie between the College of Engineering ($3,000) and the School of Public Health ($3,000).
- 50-State Challenge: A gift to the Student Emergency Fund — all the way from New Hampshire — wrapped up the 50-State Challenge, unlocking $5,000 for student scholarships.
- ASUN Clubs and Club Sports Challenge: For receiving gifts from the greatest number of individual donors, Wolf Pack Taiko earned the top prize ($2,500), followed by the Filipino Culture and Language Club ($1,500) and Women’s Club Lacrosse ($1,000).
- Faculty & Staff Challenge: With more than 400 faculty and staff members making gifts during Giving Day — well exceeding the goal of 300 — $5,000 was unlocked for undergraduate research.

Campus partners and community donors supported additional challenges, which generated strong participation and impact:
- Nearly $29,000 was raised for the Battle Born Recruiting and Retention Fund from Campagni Auto Group, Carson City Toyota and Capital Ford in response to the record-setting number of donors who came forward for Giving Day 2026 from as far away as France, Abu Dhabi and the Mariana Islands.
- Nevada Cheer, Women’s Golf and Nevada Football earned $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000, respectively — thanks to Silver and Blue Outfitters— for receiving gifts from the greatest number of individual donors.
- In addition, challenge funds were raised for the College of Science EECB Colloquium and the Nevada Ski Team as well as from the Nevada Alumni Association.

Giving Day expanded its reach across campus this year with celebrations at the Joe, the School of Medicine and the Honors College.
“This is a day that truly touches every part of the University with the support we see come in from the Wolf Pack community,” said Vice President for University Advancement Tracy Ostrem. “It’s a joy to come together with students, faculty and schools to celebrate the difference it will make for Nevada.”
