The Mountain West Conference announced Wednesday the launch of MW+, its new direct-to-consumer digital subscription platform, powered by leading streaming technology and services company, Kiswe. The platform marks a significant step forward in the Conference’s digital evolution, delivering expanded access to live and on-demand content, while creating new opportunities for fan engagement and revenue generation for member institutions.
MW+ will be the new home for all Nevada Wolf Pack non-televised conference and non-conference home events, and Mountain West Championships. Conference-wide, more than 1,000 live events will be available annually. The enhanced platform will feature on-demand replays and original content spotlighting student-athletes, programs and initiatives, while providing new opportunities for student-athletes to elevate their personal brands and showcase their own content. Streams will include interactive viewing experiences and real-time engagement tools on a technology platform that enables MW+ to deliver scalable, high-quality streams while integrating engagement features that bring fans closer to the action.
A majority of each subscription purchased through Nevada’s dedicated MW+ page will directly support the Wolf Pack, creating a scalable and sustainable revenue opportunity aligned with fan engagement. Subscribing through the Nevada Athletics website ensures that your subscription directly supports the Wolf Pack. If subscribing through the Mountain West website or the MW+ app, fans should select Nevada during sign-up to guarantee that the subscription dollars support the Wolf Pack.
MW+ will offer an annual subscription for $79.99 and a monthly subscription for $10.99.
To celebrate the launch, the Mountain West is offering a limited-time early adopter promotion. Fans who purchase an annual subscription in July, August and September will receive a $67.99 rate, a 15% discount off the standard annual price.
"Wolf Pack Athletics is embarking on an exciting next chapter with the Mountain West and MW+ will be a transformative platform for connecting our fans more deeply with our programs. Through MW+, combined with our continued investments, we are elevating the fan experience with high-quality broadcasts while sharing the unique and inspiring stories of our student-athletes,” Nevada Director of Athletics Stephanie Rempe said. “Nevada's College Town will play a vital role in supporting Nevada Athletics on MW+, and I look forward to our fans embracing this opportunity to experience the bold and innovative ways we will showcase the Wolf Pack and our student-athletes."
Nevada Athletics has undertaken a significant endeavor in preparation for the launch of MW+ and bringing fans closer than ever before to the Wolf Pack. The construction of a new, advanced central control room in Lawlor Events Center includes upgraded instant replay machines, updated graphics packages, a dedicated high-tech machine for graphics, and a new switcher to cut cameras and add effects to broadcasts. The updated control room adds room for new positions during the broadcast, also providing hands-on, development opportunities for University students and student-athletes interested in pursuing careers in broadcast and production.
Nevada Football will have two contests streamed exclusively on MW+ this fall, hosting San José State on Saturday, Oct. 24 then taking on NIU Saturday, Nov. 14. Non-conference home slates for Wolf Pack Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball will be announced in the coming weeks, with Mountain West openers for each team set for Sept. 24.
Along with live Wolf Pack action on MW+, subscribers will have exclusive access to Nevada head coach press conferences, live Coaches Shows, highlights, Mountain West Football and Basketball media days, and original content featuring the University community and Wolf Pack student-athletes in Nevada’s College Town. Additionally, the platform provides the opportunity for student-driven content including but not limited to weekly Wolf Pack updates, community features and exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
MW+ will be available on a variety of platforms and devices, including web and mobile web, iPhone and Android mobile devices, and streaming devices including Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Amazon Prime channels (coming soon). Subscribers will be able to watch MW+ anywhere they have internet access.
