The University of Nevada, Reno is preparing to celebrate Homecoming Week, a cherished tradition that invites alumni, students, faculty and the extended Wolf Pack community to honor their connection to the University and celebrate what makes campus so special.

The Nevada Alumni Association is partnering with the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) and Wolf Pack Athletics to host an engaging week of events centered around community, tradition and what it means to be a part of the past, present and future of the Pack.

Homecoming is about more than celebrating our University; it’s about honoring the people who make Nevada what it is and bringing the community together. It’s not just for alumni either. The variety of events and activities invite everyone to share in the fun.

“(For current students), there’s a lot of benefits to attending Homecoming Week events: partaking in traditions that the University has, meeting new people and helping create the culture that shapes Nevada," said Troy Barrera, director of Executive Outreach for ASUN.

Homecoming Week Highlights:

  • The ASUN Homecoming Parade on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. celebrates the Pack Pride, history, and people of the University of Nevada as one of the most cherished and time-honored University traditions. The parade route will make its way through campus, lead to remarks and festivities on the Joe Crowley Student Union Plaza and finish at the Church Fine Arts building. Come see floats from Greek life, Nevada Athletics, residential halls, community organizations and more! After the parade, stick around to enjoy an after party on the KC Lawn hosted by the ASUN Department of Event Programming.
