University Sexual Assault/Sexual Misconduct Hotline is now live

Callers may remain anonymous

As part of the University of Nevada, Reno's ongoing efforts to address the underreported incidents of sexual assault and sexual misconduct, the University has established a 24-hour Sexual Assault/Sexual Misconduct Hotline. This service allows students, faculty and staff to report incidents that occur on or off campus. The caller may remain anonymous if he/she chooses.

The hotline phone number is 775-784-1030.

"Support for victims of sexual assault/sexual misconduct is paramount and we strongly encourage the reporting of these incidents," Denise Cordova, University Title IX Coordinator, said.

This new resource is just one of the many ways the University continues to extend on-campus resources for victims of sexual assault/sexual misconduct to ensure availability of a variety of reporting options and resources.

The Sexual Assault Hotline is housed in the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office at the University. Once the number is dialed, the user is prompted to leave a message or select from two options: option one routes the call to the Crisis Call Center, and option two routes the caller to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.

For more information about the Sexual Assault Hotline, contact Cordova, 775-784-1547 or dcordova@unr.edu.
