Men's basketball game postponed due to weather

Saturday night's University of Nevada men's basketball game with Utah State has been canceled due to inclement weather and will be rescheduled later this season, Wolf Pack Director of Athletics Cary Groth announced Friday. High winds and heavy snowfall are expected in the Reno area on Friday and throughout the weekend. The Utah State men's basketball team was unable to travel to Reno on Friday due to the weather conditions. The game, which was to be Nevada's Western Athletic Conference opener, will be rescheduled at a date to be announced later. "The safety of the student-athletes, coaches and staff on both teams as well as the safety of our Wolf Pack fans is our highest priority, and we will work to reschedule this great WAC matchup at a later date," Groth said.
