Reno, Nev. – The Nevada men's tennis team snapped a two-match skid with a 6-1 victory over Montana on Sunday at the Reno High School Tennis Courts.
Nevada improved to 7-9 with the victory and is now 2-0 at home this season.
The Wolf Pack won two of three doubles matches to take the doubles point before winning five of six singles matches. Four of Nevada's wins in singles play came in straight sets.
In singles play, Nevada got wins from Laurent Garcin (No. 1), Benjamin David (No. 3), Arzhang Derakhshani (No. 4), Augustin Myard (No. 5) and Guerin Smith (No. 6). Myard was the only one who needed three sets for the victory.
Montana's lone win came from Colin Dektar, who topped Guillaume Tonelli in the No. 2 spot, 6-2, 6-4.
Nevada will return to action Saturday when it plays host to Sonoma State.
