Mastering the Mojave, University of Nevada Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener's newsletter, has won a 2007 American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) Extension Materials award in the category of newsletters. The award-winning publication will be displayed at the ASHS Annual Conference at the Extension and Industry dinner on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the conference in Arizona.
In addition, the Southern Nevada Master Gardeners will host the 2009 International Master Gardener Conference. Over 1500 Master Gardeners from across the United States and Canada are expected to attend.
Master Gardener Training is offered twice a year; an evening program in the spring and a daytime program in the fall. The registration for the fall 2007 class is being held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 13, with classes beginning in September.
