Hill wins Tibbitts Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award

F. Donald Tibbitts University Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award: A faculty member is chosen for this award based on recommendations from the college deans and department personnel. The purpose of the Distinguished Teacher Award is to give greater recognition to teaching as a faculty activity.

Jennifer Hill joined the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2000 as an assistant professor in the Department of English. She was promoted to associate professor in 2006. Hill earned her AB with distinction from Stanford University and earned her M.A., M.F.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University.

Her specialization is British literature of the long nineteenth century, the novel, gender studies and cultural studies.
