Christie Elliott, M.D., joins School of Medicine's pathology department

Christie L. Elliott, M.D., has joined the University of Nevada School of Medicine's pathology department as an assistant professor where she will be instructing second year medical students and practicing surgical pathology.

Elliott joins the School of Medicine team after five years working for pathology consulting firms in Reno and practicing forensic pathology at the Washoe County Coroner's Office.

A graduate of both the University of Nevada, Reno and the School of Medicine, Elliott completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver and a fellowship in forensic pathology with Emory University at the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Atlanta.

Her teaching experience includes being a member of the adjunct clinical faculty at the School of Medicine and a guest lecturer at both the School and the National Judicial College in Reno. She has also provided instruction for third and fourth year medical students rotating in pathology, paramedic and nursing students and coroner trainees through the Washoe County Coroner's Office.
