Apex Concerts welcomes the phenomenal American Brass Quintet, internationally celebrated for more than six decades as one of the world’s leading brass chamber ensembles. Praised by American Record Guide as “the most distinguished” of brass quintets, the ensemble has transformed the possibilities of brass chamber music through groundbreaking commissions, virtuoso performances and an enduring commitment to education and artistic innovation.
Since its founding in 1960, the American Brass Quintet has premiered more than 150 works and collaborated with many of the most important composers of our time. Ensemble-in-Residence at The Juilliard School since 1987 and at the Aspen Music Festival and School since 1970, the ensemble continues to shape the future of brass chamber music while setting the gold standard for artistry and excellence worldwide.
