Summer Session offers more than 1,000 classes every summer in order to provide students with the opportunity to earn additional credits toward their degrees. Students who take classes in the summer semester graduate sooner!

Summer 2017 Dates

  • Regular session: 13 weeks (May 22–August 17, 2017)
  • Mini session: 3 weeks (May 22–June 9, 2017)
  • First session: 5 weeks (June 12–July 14, 2017)
  • Bridge session I: 5 weeks (June 26–July 28, 2017)
  • Bridge session II: 8 weeks (June 26–August 17, 2017)
  • Second session: 5 weeks (July 17–August 17, 2017)

Students can move closer to completing their educational goal, while enjoying the serenity and beauty of campus during the summer months. The mission of Summer Session at the University of Nevada, Reno is to provide a quality educational experience complete with recreational activities during the summer months. The primary purpose of this fully functioning third semester is to provide a broad-based curriculum of undergraduate and graduate courses that afford degree-seeking students opportunities to make steady progress toward graduation.
