University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine's Student Outreach Clinic receives $25,000 grant

The directors of the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine's Student Outreach Clinic, Roshan Panda, Clarice Ho, Jaime Sesgundo and Xueying Zheng, successfully received a competitive $25,000 grant, the "Preeclampsia Prevention Through Maternal Health Grant," which is co-sponsored by the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics and the CVS Health Foundation.

This grant will allow the University's clinic to address the maternal health disparities across Northern Nevada, specifically, among the Black community.

The Student Outreach Clinic also achieved a gold rating standard from the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics.
