Seiden named University Health System chief business officer

Craig Seiden's role as chief business officer for University Health System, the multi-specialty clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, has been expanded to include the running of northern clinical operations. In this capacity, Seiden will serve as fiscal officer and oversee principal administrative functions for general clinical operations in both Las Vegas and Reno. Seiden will serve along side Jim Parcells, who will continue to act as chief business officer for University Health System's statewide mental health and pharmacy services. Seiden has been with University Health System since 2002, serving in several capacities including interim chief business officer for both Reno and Las Vegas general clinical operations, chief business officer for Las Vegas clinical operations as well as fiscal officer and financial analyst. "Craig brings a tremendous amount of experience to this role," says Blain Claypool, chief operating officer for the School of Medicine. "University Health System, the school's clinical practice, will surely benefit from his leadership and expertise." Prior to joining University Health System, Seiden served as a certified public accountant with the Las Vegas firm of Conway, Stuart & Woodbury. He also has experience in hotel management and administration. Seiden earned his bachelor of science degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has completed masters level accounting courses as a prerequisite for his C.P.A. examination.
