The University Staff Employees' Council will celebrate employee career milestones and honor retiring employees at its annual recognition luncheon June 1 in the Lawlor Events Center Silver and Blue Room. This year's theme is the 20's-inspired "Speakeasy Luncheon." The deadline to purchase tickets is May 25.
"This is the only University-sponsored event that recognizes years of service and retirement," said Theron Flavin, parking and transportation services administrative assistant. "It is our one big opportunity each year to thank the employees who make the campus a great place to work."
Lunch is complimentary for retirees and service honorees. Guests and friends may purchase tickets for $15. A slate of door prizes will be raffled.
"Ticket costs break even with the expense of the lunch," Flavin said. "The SEC is responsible for decorations, gifts, and promoting the event. This keeps the event as reasonably priced as possible."
