On behalf of Dr. Cheryl Hug-English, Chair, Distinguished Faculty Award Committee, nominations for the 2015 Distinguished Faculty Award are now being accepted by the committee. Nominations should include a letter of nomination and a curriculum vita for the candidate. The award is intended to honor faculty who are unsung heroes - men and women whose contributions have made our university a better place. With that in mind, the following criteria will be considered:
The nominee has positive and productive relationships with colleagues and students and is a respected faculty member;
The nominee has significant involvement with faculty development, public outreach, and programmatic innovation at the University of Nevada, Reno;
The nominee has a record of leadership or influential roles at the University of Nevada, Reno;
The nominee has spent a substantial portion of his or her career at the University of Nevada, Reno and has demonstrated many years of devotion to serving the University.
Nominations may be made by any member of the university community. Please forward your nomination to:

Nominations must be received by March 20, 2015. The recipient of the award will be announced at the Honor the Best Ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 in the Milt Glick Ballroom, Joe Crowley Student Union. The University community is welcomed and encouraged to attend the Ceremony.
