Guevara-Mann delivers Panama Canal presentation

Carlos Guevara-Mann, assistant professor of political science and director of the International Affairs Program, delivered a presentation about the Panama Canal, one of the world's major sea lanes, March 30 - April 1, in The Homestead, Virginia.

He addressed the status of U.S. interests in the Panama Canal, which have been affected by the $5.2 billion expansion and enlargement project. Guevara-Mann also addressed the project's domestic, political, social and environmental implications.

The Stevens-Goethals Reunion commemorated terms of service for chief Panama Canal engineers John Stevens and George W. Goethals.
