Dear Wolf Pack Family,

Nevada’s early voting period for the 2026 General Election opens Saturday, Oct. 17, and continues through Friday, Oct. 30, with Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The University of Nevada, Reno is proud to bring voting to campus once again. Over the past several years, the students, faculty and staff of our institution have set a high standard in establishing an active and informed citizenry through civic engagement, political engagement and voter participation. Our Wolf Pack community can cast their ballots in the Joe Crowley Student Union, and we are grateful to the Joe Crowley Student Union staff, whose hard work makes voting on campus possible every election cycle.

See below for dates and times for on campus early voting and election day voting:

Early Voting:

  • Location: Joe Crowley Student Union, 2nd Floor
  • Dates: Oct. 17 - Oct. 30
  • Time: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Election Day:

  • Location: Joe Crowley Student Union, 4th Floor
  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 3
  • Time: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

I encourage you to choose the option that works best for your schedule and to make your plan now. Every active registered voter in Nevada is mailed a ballot, which you can return by mail or at a designated drop box or polling location, or you can vote in person. Locations, hours, and other details are available from the Registrar of Voters in the county where you are registered and on the Nevada Secretary of State’s election information page.

If you are not yet registered or need to update your information, same-day registration is available. You can confirm your registration status through the Nevada Secretary of State’s voter search. Please also take time to review the Secretary of State’s official Ballot Question Guide, as this year’s ballot includes statewide measures in addition to candidate races.

If you have any questions about voting on campus, please reach out to the Office of Government and Community Engagement at: government@unr.edu.

Voting is how we, as citizens, take part in shaping our communities, our state, and our country. It is a simple act with lasting impact, and it is a right that every eligible member of our campus community should feel empowered to use. Our democracy is strongest when people participate, and every ballot counts. I hope you will make your voice heard.

Go Pack!

Sincere regards,

Brian Sandoval
President
