Dear Wolf Pack Family,

Welcome to the fall semester and the start of a new academic year!

This is a busy time for our University. It is both a beginning and a reunion — a time for all of us to come together in these first few weeks to warmly welcome those who are new and to show our appreciation for those who are returning.

To our new students, faculty and staff: we are thrilled you’ve joined us. Your presence and talents bring fresh energy and perspective to our University. To those returning: your ongoing dedication and achievements continue to shape and strengthen our Wolf Pack Family. We are poised to have an incredible year because of all you — you are the ones who will look out for one another, encourage those around you, and to learn by doing through the many experiences our University offers. I encourage all of you to get involved throughout this semester and the year ahead.

You can do this in a variety of ways. The Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) offers more than 250 clubs and organizations. Our campus hosts numerous events, both student-led and from the campus community that help us connect. Our institution is also home to Division I intercollegiate athletics, with our Wolf Pack student-athletes competing at the highest levels of competition.

We recognize that this time of year can also bring challenges. Know that support is here for you. Students can access University Counseling Services, as well as the Downing Counseling Clinic. Faculty and staff can utilize the Employee Assistance Program.

As members of The Wolf Pack Family, you represent what is without question our University’s greatest, most impactful and lasting resource: our people.

Our students are bold, curious and committed to learning with purpose. Our faculty and staff are experts in their disciplines and know how to inspire us to seek more of ourselves. Our campus is unparalleled in its togetherness, spirit and beauty. What makes this campus so extraordinary is that while so much is happening, at all times, we are constantly observing the highest levels of decorum, civil discourse and respect.

On behalf of the entire University, welcome! I look forward to seeing you throughout the year and celebrating your incredible achievements.

Go Pack!

Sincere regards,

Brian Sandoval
President
