NSHE employees now eligible for vaccination

We have been notified that all Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) employees are now eligible for vaccination.

Dear Wolf Pack Family,

I hope this email finds you well.

We have just been notified that all Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) employees are now eligible for vaccination. As you know, University employees are being vaccinated through the Washoe County Health Department’s (WCHD), Point of Distribution (POD), located at the Reno Livestock Events Center. The University is notified by the WCHD when appointments are available on their scheduling system.

Please use the Washoe County Health District Scheduling Form to schedule an appointment.

How to schedule an appointment

You should access the WCHD’s scheduling system as quickly as possible to schedule an appointment. You may want to check the scheduling system periodically for availability. Please be patient and persistent during this process. Be aware that the appointment time slots fill very quickly and the University is not the only group being scheduled through this POD.

On the county website when you are asked:

“Are you part of this essential workforce?” Click Yes.

“I confirm that I am part of the eligible groups under frontline/essential workforce and understand that employment and personal ID verification are required in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.” Click Yes

If you have not already done so, you must make an appointment through the Washoe County Health District. Click on the Washoe County Health District Scheduling Form.

Once you have a confirmed appointment, there is paperwork that must be completed and that you must bring with you to the appointment.

Required paperwork for your vaccination

On the day of the appointment, you MUST bring all of the following:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of employment (UNR Wolfcard, payslip or this email)
  • Your completed, printed and signed two-page questionnaire, available on your confirmation email from scheduling the appointment, and
  • Your appointment confirmation email from the WCHD (either printed or on your phone)
